Gameplay

  • 6+ Players 👥

  • 4-6 Minutes ⏱️

What You’ll Need

  • One roll of masking tape per team

  • Open space to run

  • Optional: cones or marked line for distance

Setup

  • Divide players into teams of 3 or more.

  • Give each team one roll of masking tape.

  • Set a turnaround point (like a cone or chair) about 15–20 feet away.

How to Play

  • Line up teams behind the start line with their tape roll.

  • First player runs toward the turnaround point, unrolling the tape behind them.

  • Loop and return: Once they reach the end, they turn around and return to their team, continuing to unroll tape all the way back.

  • Pass it off: Next player grabs the roll and repeats the process.

  • Finish line: First team to finish with a fully unrolled roll and all players returned wins!

Say Something Like
“Alright teams! You’ve each got a roll of tape—but the goal is to EMPTY it! Run down, unroll as you go, turn around, and come back. Let’s see which team can run the fastest and stay in one piece!”

Variations

  • Reverse Relay: Re-roll the tape as you return.

  • Obstacle Run: Place cones or chairs along the route for added challenge.

  • One-and-Done: Each player gets only one turn to unroll as much as possible.

Discipleship Teaching Points
Reminds players how teamwork requires both unity and endurance (Ecclesiastes 4:9–10).

Secular Teaching Points
