What You’ll Need
Sticky hand toys (one per player)
A coin (a quarter works great)
A table everyone can stand around
Setup
Hand every player a sticky hand.
Place one coin in the center of the table.
Have players spread out evenly around the edge so nobody has a head start.
How to Play
Wind up.
On the leader’s signal, everyone whips their sticky hand at the coin.Grab it.
The sticky hand that lands on the coin drags it back toward its owner.Claim the win.
The first player to pull the coin off the table wins the round.Reset and repeat.
Drop the coin back in the middle and go again. Play to a set number of wins, or have the winner sit out so a new champ emerges each round.
Say Something Like
“Everybody grab a sticky hand and find a spot around the table. There’s one coin in the middle and it belongs to whoever pulls it off the edge first. When I say go, let ’em fly!”
Variations
Paper Plate Pull: Skip the sticky hands. Set the coin on a paper plate and have players drag the plate across the table with their sticky hand or fingertips instead.
Coin Pile: Scatter five or six coins. Most coins collected in 30 seconds wins.
Tournament Table: Winner stays, loser rotates out. Last person standing takes the table.
Discipleship Teaching Points
Everyone is reaching for the same prize, and only one gets it. Use it to talk about running the race with purpose and not being distracted by everyone else’s reach. Reference: 1 Corinthians 9:24–25.
Secular Teaching Points
Builds hand-eye coordination, quick reaction time, and good-natured competition in a game anyone can win on any given round.
