Gameplay

  • 10+ Players 👥

  • 2-3 Minutes ⏱️

What You’ll Need

Setup

  • Have players stand in a large circle holding hands.

  • Place a hula hoop over one player’s arm so it rests between them and their neighbor.

How to Play

  • Start the race – On “Go,” players must pass the hoop around the circle by stepping through it and moving it over their body to the next person—without letting go of hands.

  • Keep it moving – Continue until the hoop makes it all the way around the circle back to the starting player.

  • Add more hoops – For larger groups, you can add multiple hoops going in opposite directions to make it more challenging.

  • First team to get the hoop all the way around wins.

Say Something Like
“Alright, hands stay together—no cheating! Let’s see how quickly we can get this hoop around without breaking the chain.”

Variations

  • Timed Challenge – See how fast the group can get the hoop around; try to beat their own record.

  • Multiple Hoops – Add more hoops to increase the difficulty.

Discipleship Teaching Points – Teaches unity and perseverance. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)
