Gameplay
4+ Players 👥
3-5 Minutes ⏱️
What You’ll Need
Roll of paper towels
Setup
Tear off a long sheet (the longer, the better).
Have two players face each other, each holding one end of the paper towel with both hands.
How to Play
Grab hold – Each player takes an end of the towel.
Start tugging – Players pull back and forth, trying not to let go.
Wait for the rip – Keep pulling until the paper towel tears. Whoever is still holding their piece when it rips wins!
Rotate players – Bring in new challengers for fast-paced rounds.
Say Something Like
“Sometimes in life we face tension and struggles. The real test is whether we can hold on without giving up — let’s see who can hold on the longest with this paper towel tug!”
Variations
Double Trouble – Two teams tug on a towel (two vs. two).
Blind Tug – Close eyes while tugging for added suspense.
Discipleship Teaching Points
Just like in life, we face pressure that tries to tear us apart, but God calls us to “hold fast” (Hebrews 10:23) to our faith without wavering.
Secular Teaching Points
Teaches resilience, patience, and how to handle tension without giving up.
