Gameplay
8+ Players 👥
5-8 Minutes ⏱️
What You’ll Need
Paper (one sheet per player)
Markers or crayons (optional for decorating)
Large targets (hula hoops, laundry baskets, or boxes)
Tape or cones to mark “holes”
Setup
Place targets around the room or field, numbering them as “holes.”
Mark a starting line for each hole with tape or cones.
Give each player a sheet of paper to fold into a paper airplane.
How to Play
Make your plane – Let players fold and decorate their paper airplanes.
Start at hole #1 – From the starting line, throw your airplane toward the target.
Count your throws – If it doesn’t make it in, pick it up from where it landed and throw again.
Progress through the course – Move to the next hole once your airplane lands in the target.
Lowest score wins – The player with the fewest total throws after all holes wins.
Say Something Like
“Alright pilots, today you’re competing in the first-ever Paper Airplane Golf Tournament! Make the best plane you can, and see if you can ‘fly’ it into each hole in the fewest throws possible.”
Variations
Timed Flight – See whose plane can stay in the air the longest at each hole.
Obstacle Golf – Add chairs, tables, or other items to throw around for extra challenge.
Discipleship Teaching Points
Discuss how following the right “design” leads to better results in life, just like folding a plane correctly makes it fly better. (Proverbs 4:26)
Secular Teaching Points
Emphasizes problem-solving and persistence; teaches that adjusting your approach can improve results.
