Gameplay

  • 8+ Players 👥

  • 3-5 Minutes ⏱️

What You’ll Need

  • One coin (any type)

Setup

  • Have everyone stand up in an open space where they can easily see the facilitator.

  • Explain that each round, players will choose between heads or tails by making a physical gesture.

How to Play

  • Pick your side: Ask everyone to choose either heads or tails.

    • Heads = hands on head

    • Tails = hands on hips

  • Flip the coin: Flip the coin high into the air so everyone can see it.

  • Call the winner: Announce the result—“It’s heads!” or “It’s tails!”

  • Eliminate the losers: All players who guessed incorrectly sit down or step aside.

  • Keep playing: Continue rounds until only one (or a few) players remain standing.

Say Something Like
“Alright everyone, time to test your luck! Put your hands on your head if you think it’s heads—or on your hips if you think it’s tails. Let’s flip and find out who’s still in!”

Variations

  • Double or Nothing: Let winners choose to stay in for the next round or risk it all to win a prize.

  • Group Showdown: Split into two large teams—Team Heads vs. Team Tails—and keep score over multiple rounds.

Discipleship Teaching Points

God sometimes asks us to take a step of faith even when we don’t know the outcome. Like flipping a coin, we don’t control the result—but we can trust that God does.
📖 Proverbs 16:33 – “The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.”

Secular Teaching Points

A great reminder that life is full of chance moments, and learning to win or lose with a good attitude makes every game more fun.
