Paper and pencil for each player (to track scores)
Have players sit in a circle or around a table.
Hand out paper and pencils to each player.
Place the dice in the center, or pass them around if only one set is available.
Start the round: The first player rolls all three dice.
Keep the highest: They set aside the highest die, then re-roll the remaining two dice.
Keep the next highest: Again, they set aside the highest die, then roll the final single die. (If doubles are rolled as the highest, either keep both or just one.)
Add the total: Add up the three dice kept and write down the score.
Next player goes: The next player repeats the same process.
Win the round: The player with the highest total score for that round wins.
You can play as many rounds as you want. Keep a running tally for an extended competition!
Variations
Boston Blitz: Everyone plays simultaneously with their own set of dice for faster rounds.
Target Score: Instead of playing by round, play until someone reaches a total score of 100.
