6+ Players 👥
3-5 Minutes ⏱️
Mark a race track: Set up a starting line and a finish line using cones, tape, or any visual marker.
Distribute supplies: Each player gets a spoon and an egg.
Get in position: Have players line up at the starting line with the spoon in their mouth and the egg balanced on the bowl of the spoon.
Start the race: On the “Go” signal, players race to the finish line and back while balancing the egg—hands must remain behind their back or at their sides.
Handle the drop: If the egg falls and doesn't break, players may pick it up (without their hands), reset it on their spoon, and continue from where they dropped it.
Out if it breaks: If the egg breaks, the player is out of the race.
Finish line fun: First player back to the starting line without breaking their egg wins!
Say Something Like
"Alright racers, grab your spoons and your eggs… but no hands allowed! You're racing to the finish and back with only your mouth holding the spoon. If you drop your egg and it breaks, you're out. If it survives, pick it back up and keep going. Let’s see who’s got the best balance today!"
Variations
Relay Race Mode: Create teams. Each player races to a checkpoint and back, handing off the spoon and egg to the next teammate.
Teaching Points
This game encourages perseverance and focus, even when things go wrong. Great conversation starter about handling failure or staying the course when things get shaky.
