Gameplay
8+ Players 👥
5-7 Minutes ⏱️
What You’ll Need
Cones or markers to form a large circle
Stopwatch or timer (optional)
Setup
Set up a large circle using cones or natural markers.
Divide players into equal teams and have each team line up evenly spaced around the outside of the circle.
Choose one player from each team to start as the runner.
How to Play
Start the Race: On your signal, the first runner from each team sprints once around the circle.
Tag and Rotate: Once they return to their team spot, they tag the next teammate to begin their lap.
Continue Relay: The game continues until every team member has completed a lap.
Declare a Winner: The first team to finish all laps wins!
Say Something Like
“Alright everyone! This is a test of teamwork and speed. You’re not just running for yourself—you’re running for your team! Ready, set, GO!”
Variations
Reverse Run: Have players run the lap backward or skipping for added fun.
Time Challenge: Try to beat the team’s best total time from earlier rounds.
Discipleship Teaching Points
Just like a relay race, our Christian walk is not run alone—we need the encouragement of others as we “run with patience the race that is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1).
Secular Teaching Points
This game teaches teamwork, timing, and perseverance—skills that matter both on and off the field.
