What You’ll Need
Pedometers (one per player or team)
Headbands, bandanas, or large rubber bands to secure the pedometers
Optional: Matching sweatband sets (headband + wristbands) for extra flair
Setup
Attach a pedometer securely to each player’s forehead using a headband, bandana, or rubber band.
Clear a safe area for players to move without bumping into each other.
Set a timer for 30–60 seconds per round.
How to Play
Explain the challenge: Tell players they must use only their head movements to score steps on the pedometer. No jumping or body shaking allowed!
Start the countdown: On “Go!”, players begin bobbing their heads as fast as they can.
Monitor for cheating: Watch to ensure players aren't using their whole body.
End the round: After time is up, check each pedometer to see who has the highest number.
Celebrate the winner: Crown the top bobblehead with a prize or let them lead the next round’s warm-up dance!
Say Something Like
"Alright bobbleheads, it's time to see who’s got the fastest noggin in the room! Strap on your pedometers and get ready to shake that head like your snack money depends on it!"
Variations
Team Bobblehead: Have teams of two take turns and combine scores.
Silly Soundtrack: Play fast-paced or silly music to boost the energy and laughs.
Backwards Bobble: Players must nod backward (leaning head back instead of forward).
Discipleship Teaching Points
This game can be used to discuss how outward movement or energy isn’t always the best sign of inward purpose or truth (1 Samuel 16:7).
Secular Teaching Points
Teaches focus, stamina, and the importance of staying within given limits or rules.
