Gameplay

  • 2+ Players 👥

  • 4-6 Minutes ⏱️

What You’ll Need

Setup

  • Pour bubble solution into individual cups or containers.

  • Give each player a bubble wand and cup of solution.

  • Keep the cheek retractors hidden until the surprise moment.

  • Choose a judge or two to count bubbles and decide the winner.

How to Play

  • Select 2–4 players to come up front.

  • Explain the Challenge: Tell them they’ll have 30 seconds to blow as many bubbles as possible.

  • Hand Out Bubbles: Give them their bubble wands and cups.

  • Just Before Starting: Dramatically reveal the cheek retractors and say,
“BUT… you have to do it like this!”

  • Insert and Start: Help players get the cheek retractors in, then start the timer.

  • Let the Chaos Begin: For 30 seconds, players attempt to blow bubbles.

  • Pick a Winner: Choose based on one of these:

    • Most bubbles blown

    • Largest bubble

    • Funniest attempt (optional silly prize)

Say Something Like
“Who thinks they’re a bubble master? We’re going to give you 30 seconds to blow as many bubbles as you can. Sounds easy, right? Well, just wait. Ready? Set? (Pull out the cheek retractors) You have to do it with this in your mouth!”

Variations

  • Solo Showdown: Have each player go one at a time with the whole group cheering them on.

  • Team Relay: Teams send one player at a time, and total bubbles from all teammates are added up.

  • Blind Bubble: Players are blindfolded while trying to aim bubbles at a target.

Discipleship Teaching Points
Sometimes we think something is going to be easy, until life throws us a surprise. This game reminds us that joy, humility, and perseverance matter when things get tough—just like James 1:2 says, “Count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.”

Secular Teaching Points
Great for teaching kids resilience and humor in unexpected situations. It also builds confidence in front of a crowd and fosters creative problem solving.
