Would You Rather Runaround

This fast-paced icebreaker gets everyone up and moving while revealing quirky preferences. It’s a physical version of "Would You Rather" where players dash to sides of the room based on their choices.

Gameplay

  • 8+ Players 👥

  • 5-7 Minutes ⏱️

What You’ll Need

  • Open indoor or outdoor space

  • List of "Would You Rather" questions (you can prepare these ahead of time)

Setup

  • Clear a space with two defined sides (use cones, tape lines, or just designate "Side A" and "Side B")

  • Determine 10–15 fun or themed “Would You Rather” questions

How to Play

  • Gather players in the middle: Have everyone stand in the center of the space.

  • Ask your question: Example – “Would you rather be able to fly or be invisible?”

  • Point to sides: Designate one side of the room for each answer (e.g., “Fly over here, Invisible over there!”)

  • Run to your answer: Players run to the side that matches their choice.

  • Repeat: Keep the pace fast to keep energy high. Add silly or themed questions as needed.

  • Wrap it up: End with a question that ties into your lesson or theme for the day.

Say Something Like
“Alright, everyone to the middle! I’m going to give you some fun choices—but you’ve got to run to the side that matches your answer. Be ready, because I’m not slowing down!”

Variations

  • Theme Twist: Use Bible story-based or seasonal “Would You Rather” questions.

  • Silent Mode: Have players point instead of run if space is limited.

  • Partner Poll: Pair players to guess each other’s answers before revealing.

Discipleship Teaching Points
This game opens up curiosity and dialogue—use it to prompt a deeper discussion on how our choices reflect our values. (Joshua 24:15)

Secular Teaching Points
Great for group bonding, this game sparks laughter and conversation while helping players recognize that others have different perspectives—and that’s okay.
