Gameplay

  • 10+ Players 👥

  • 3-5 Minutes ⏱️

What You’ll Need

  • Open space for mingling (gym, fellowship hall, or classroom)

  • Timer or stopwatch

  • List of “twin traits” to call out

Setup

  • Gather everyone together and explain that they’ll have a limited amount of time to find their “twin” — someone who shares a specific characteristic.

  • Make sure everyone can hear you clearly when you call out each prompt.

How to Play

  • Announce the prompt. Say something like, “Find someone who has the same shoe size as you!”

  • Start the timer. Give players 10 seconds (adjust as needed) to find their match.

  • Celebrate connections. Once the time is up, have those who found their “twin” share what they had in common.

  • Keep it going. Continue with new prompts for as many rounds as you’d like.

Examples of prompts:

  • Same shoe size

  • Moms with the same first name

  • Last name starts with the same letter

  • Same favorite color

  • Same grade

  • Birthday on the same day (not just month)

End the game when everyone has had several chances to participate and share something about themselves.

Say Something Like
“Alright everyone, it’s time to find your twin! I’m going to call out something, and you’ll have ten seconds to find someone with that in common. Ready? First one: same favorite color—go!”

Variations

  • Tournament Style: Those who don’t find a match in time are out. Keep going until one “twin pair” remains!

  • Tournament with a Twist: Increase the challenge each round—first find one twin, then two, then three, and so on!

Discipleship Teaching Points

Just like it’s fun to find someone who’s like us, God also made each of us unique. Yet as believers, we’re all “one body in Christ” (Romans 12:5). This game reminds us that unity doesn’t mean being identical—it means working together with the gifts and similarities God gave us.

Secular Teaching Points

This activity helps players notice shared traits and appreciate differences. It builds quick social connections, encourages active listening, and helps even shy participants engage.
