Gameplay
10+ Players 👥
3-5 Minutes ⏱️
What You’ll Need
Everyday bus sounds (hands, voices, zippers, wrappers, tapping on windows, etc.)
Setup
Choose one person to be the “Sound Master” to start the game.
How to Play
Pick the Sound Master: One person creates a sound without being seen (e.g., tapping their shoe, rustling a paper bag, zipping a backpack).
Make the sound: They make it once or twice—not too many times or too loud.
Guess the sound: The group takes turns guessing what the sound was and what made it.
Reveal the answer: After 3 guesses or if someone gets it right, the Sound Master reveals the answer.
Next round: The person who guessed correctly becomes the next Sound Master.
Optional scoring: Award a point for each correct guess.
Say Something Like
“Okay, I’m going to make a sound, and you’ve got three chances to figure it out. Listen closely!”
Variations
Speed Round: Everyone writes down their guess at the same time—Sound Master picks the closest.
Reverse Sound: One player makes a sound, and the Sound Master has to guess what made it!
Mystery Pairing: Two people secretly work together to make a sound using two objects.
Play Indoors: This game can also be played indoors or in a classroom setting.
Discipleship Teaching Points
Great for tying into spiritual themes about listening to God’s voice and tuning out distractions (John 10:27).
Secular Teaching Points
Sharpens listening skills, observation, and imagination—great for keeping minds active and engaged.
