Gameplay

  • 8+ Players 👥

  • 5-8 Minutes ⏱️

What You’ll Need

  • Chairs, rope, or tape to mark the “mountain”

  • Open space

Setup

  • Place chairs, rope, or tape in a straight line down the middle of the room/field.

  • Divide players evenly into two teams and line them up on opposite sides.

How to Play

  • Start the round – Call one player from each team. They run toward the “mountain.”

  • Cross or defend – The goal is to cross over without being tagged. If tagged, the runner joins the opposite team.

  • Keep playing – Send the next players until all have gone.

  • End the game – The team with the most players at the end wins.

Say Something Like
“Alright everyone, the mountain stands between your team and victory! Can you make it across without getting tagged?”

Variations

  • Double Trouble – Send two players from each side at once.

  • Blind Climb – Runners close their eyes and teammates guide them with shouts.

Discipleship Teaching Points
Crossing the mountain can remind us of faith that overcomes obstacles. Just like Joshua and Caleb trusted God to help them conquer the land (Numbers 14:6–9), we can trust Him to help us face our own mountains.

Secular Teaching Points
Encourages bravery, teamwork, and risk-taking in a safe and fun environment.
