Gameplay
4+ Players 👥
2-4 Minutes ⏱️
What You’ll Need
Balloons (1 per group, plus extras in case of pops)
Optional: timer, music
Setup
Divide players into teams of 4–6.
Give each team one balloon.
Designate a play area for each team to avoid cross-traffic.
How to Play
Keep it up! – The objective is for each team to keep their balloon in the air as long as possible.
No holding – Players can hit the balloon but not catch or hold it.
No double-taps – A player cannot hit the balloon twice in a row.
Set a timer – Play for a set time (e.g., 2–3 minutes) and see which team keeps theirs up the longest.
Add chaos (optional) – Introduce multiple balloons to increase difficulty!
Say Something Like
“Your one and only goal is to keep your team’s balloon in the air. No holding, no hogging the hits, and definitely no letting it hit the floor! Ready? 3… 2… 1… GO!”
Variations
Balloon Relay – If your balloon hits the ground, your team has to complete a short relay before rejoining the game.
Silent Mode – No talking allowed while keeping the balloon up!
Discipleship Teaching Points
This game can illustrate how we support one another in the body of Christ. Just like each team member has to work together to keep the balloon up, believers are called to lift each other up and share the load.
(See Galatians 6:2)
Secular Teaching Point
Great for practicing teamwork, communication, and focus. It encourages kids to take turns and support each other through quick decisions and physical awareness.
