5+ Players 👥
3-5 Minutes ⏱️
Paper plates (one per player)
Markers (one per player)
Give each player a paper plate and marker.
Have players spread out so they don’t bump into one another.
Give everyone a plate and marker – Instruct players to place the paper plate on top of their head and get their marker ready.
Start the timer – Say “Go!” and start a 60-second timer. Players must draw something on their plate while it stays on their head.
Reveal the masterpieces – Once time’s up, everyone removes their plates and examines their artistic genius.
Guess the artwork – Invite players to come to the front, one at a time, to show off their drawing. See if the group can guess what they drew.
Optional scoring – Give bonus points for creativity, accuracy, or funniest attempt!
Say Something Like
“Alright artists, time to test your creative skills... blindfolded! Well, not exactly. You’re going to draw a picture—with your paper plate on top of your head! No peeking! Let’s see who’s secretly a Picasso.”
Variations
Team Gallery: Have small groups all draw the same object and vote on which group had the most consistent look.
Back-to-Back Drawing: Pair up—one describes the image without naming it, the other draws on the plate on their head.
Teaching Points
This game opens up great conversation about how we see things differently and how God sees the big picture, even when things look messy to us. You could tie it into creativity, identity, or trust.
