Gameplay
6+ Players 👥
5-8 Minutes ⏱️
What You’ll Need
Blindfolds (one per player or to rotate)
Playground ball or small round ball
Tape or marker to create a start line
Tape, cone, or object to mark the target
Setup
Place a cone or marker about 15–20 feet away from the start line.
Blindfolds should be ready to go for each participant.
Have all players gather behind the start line.
How to Play
Blindfold the player. Help each participant put on a blindfold.
Spin and guide. Lightly spin the player 1–2 times to disorient them slightly, then guide them to the starting line.
Roll the ball. The player tries to roll the ball straight and as close to the target as possible.
Mark their roll. Leave the ball where it lands and allow the next player to go.
Declare the winner. Once all have gone, the player whose ball lands closest to the target wins.
Say Something Like
“Let’s see who can roll a ball the straightest—while blindfolded! You’ll get one shot to roll your ball as close as you can to the cone over there… but with no sight to guide you, it’s all about feel and luck!”
Variations
Obstacle Edition: Place cones or soft objects along the path to make the roll even trickier.
Team Play: Each team chooses a representative each round; best of three rounds wins.
Discipleship Teaching Points
Just like in life, when we can’t see the full picture, we need to trust guidance and direction. This game can lead into a conversation about walking by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
Secular Teaching Points
This game builds trust, decision-making, and awareness of how different our instincts can be when we lack one of our senses.
